Swahili, also known as Kiswahili by its native name is a language widely used in the East African Community (EAC) countries namely Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda. It is spoken as a native language along the East coast of Africa from southern Somalia in the North down through the Kenyan and Tanzanian coasts. There are speakers of the language all around the globe. The language has been widely used in films like Lion King and Star Trek.
